Somewhere between Steve Jobs and Mark Zuckerburg, there's Generation X; young enough to be interested in the latest technology fads but old enough to be banned from Instagram by our kids. Gen Y and Gen Z think they own cyber space but I'm one Gen-X-Girl who wants a piece of it! This blog aims to share info about the latest (or not so late) technology, websites and miscellaneous items to make our lives more savvy, hip and fun. And, to make our kids lives just that little bit more...awkward!

fiverr.com
I stumbled across this site when I was putting my first ebook together. It's an online marketplace where a buyer purchases 'gigs' for $5. It's the go to place for anything you want done. I had someone in America create an ebook cover and another person proofread 8000 words. They did a fantastic job and were so cheap. Apparently they do it because they love what they do and the money is a bonus!
You can get just about anything done on there. Would you like a poem read with an Italian accent or maybe you want 30 seconds of original music. Or perhaps you would like an app built? You can find it all on fiverr.com. Of course not everything is $5 as they do have gig upgrades. Take the original music for example, 30 seconds will cost you $5 then each 30 seconds after that may cost you another $5.
The other cool thing is that you can sell your services on fiverr. How about drawing caricatures or saying jokes for $5? Or maybe you are a great writer and are willing to write cover letters for $5. I'm not sure how much money you would end up making per hour, but there seem to be a lot of 'top-rated sellers' doing a roaring trade on there.
